Citrus College has installed NameCoach in Canvas and for users to access. NameCoach is a tool integrated into Canvas that is designed to support inclusive teaching practices. It allows students and instructors to share the proper pronunciation of their name and indicate their gender pronouns.
Faculty Namecoach Canvas Guide
Utilizing NameCoach helps instructors build better rapport in the classroom, bolstering students’ sense of belonging through proper recognition. In Canvas, a link called “Student Name Recordings” now appears and is ready for use. Our sincere appreciation to Dr. Senya Lubisich for developing the Citrus College Faculty Reference Guide for NameCoach (<3 minute tutorial to help you get started) and our Online Education team who will be broadcasting this resource.
